The user can take a phone call over the phones speakers which provide a handsfree call & allows the user to talk without holding the W960i to their ear throughout the duration of the call. The keypad is easy to use and the touchscreen feature works well. The touchscreen interface is at its best when using features like the music player, as you can literally touch the album art of a song to select it

The W960i is set to be Sony Ericsson’s flagship music phone, and as such is destined to go head to head with the iPhone. The W910 Walkman phone and the music player is everything you’d expect from a Walkman device. It may not be an iPhone killer in terms of its looks but when it comes to functionality, it may as well give the iPhone a run for its money.

Nokia is one of these manufacturers, which let into the market new models, differing in comparison to the mass perception for a phone. A bright example is . The buttons of the device are triangular in shape, as the design of the device is subordinated to this shape, which by chance or not reminds us of a processed diamond.

Most probably in this way Nokia wants to underline that fact that the telephone differs Read more… »

Have you heard about the shiny, sleek upcoming 5 Megapixel Samsung mobile phone? The latest Samsung G800 is finally here. The Samsung G800 has been introduced this month, it is going to be the next phenomenon in mobile imaging. The Samsung G800 is an sleek and thin slider cell phone. This cell phone looks like designer styled, the Samsung G800 cam phone has a digicam-like metallic design and features a 5 Megapixel digital camera.
Samsung G800 is definitely not among the smallest phones on the market: even closed it is a solid device almost as big a stand-alone pocket camera and it highly resembles one by its look. With its serious weight it is almost as heavy too, which combined with the chromed frame makes it feel as a nice high-end phone instead of a plastic toy. For this also helps that the lens-cover and a detail on the battery cover are made of brushed aluminum.
The Samsung G800 is also available in all-black variant. It replaces the brushed aluminum pattern with one resembling leather.
This handset is not super lightweight & feels solid to hold as it weighs a total of 134 grams. The G800 is a good size phone which is 18.8mm deep, 51.1mm wide & 101mm high. The Samsung G800 is a 3G HSDPA mobile phone which provides broadband speed technology to this mobile phone. The phone supports Bluetooth® A2DP wireless technology which allows the user to connect wireless to compatible headsets, headphones, computers & printers. The user can use a USB cable to connect to other devices when a Bluetooth® connection is either not available or required by the user. The G800 comes with EDGE & GPRS edge technology which allows the user to enjoy high speed data transfers on their phone. Connecting to the Internet from this highly capable 3G phone could not easier or quicker as the phone comes with a WAP 2.0 Internet browser which supports RSS feeds Read more… »

Nokia’s niche Internet tablet device – the N810, has now received WIMAX functionality, for use on US-based network operator Sprint’s network. Cosmetically, and feature-wise, everything on the N810, and the WIMAX edition is the same, but the WIMAX edition will apparently ship in black, and not silver, like the original N810

The Nokia N810 is the third in the Finnish company’s series of Internet tablets, following Read more… »

Nokia’s N80 was introduced with the second wave of Nseries handsets in November of 2005. It packs quad-band GSM/EDGE support and 3G WCDMA access into an attractive slider form factor. But there is more to the N80 that makes it so interesting.
For one, it has 802.11g WiFi support and a SIP compatible VOIP client, meaning you could theoretically use the N80 with a VOIP provider such as BroadVoice or Vonage. When you add a 3 megapixel camera to the mix and a very high resolution display
Starting with the physical design, the N80 is a novel shape for a smartphone - a slide-up design, similar to the Nokia 6280 or 6111. This makes it both attractive and compact (for a smartphone). At 134g in weight, it’s one of the lightest smartphones around, which is a real achievement when you consider the features that have been packed inside. However, the slide is nowhere near as good as the smooth sliders from Samsung. It slides awkwardly open and won’t stay closed. There is a tendency for the slide to open by itself when in a bag or pocket, which can lead to the phone unlocking and making calls by itself.
Connectivity is the strong point of the Nokia N80, with built in WLAN support (802.11g), Bluetooth, USB pop port and all the data standards already described. However it is the standard WLAN that set our excitement running and we quickly had the N80 hooked up to our office network. The process was fairly simple with the Nokia menus accepting all the usual wireless set-up including WEP, making this connection enabled us to browse the web and pick up emails Read more… »

Recently launched LG Voyager VX10000 has a cutting-edge design with a brilliant touch screen and a spacious keyboard. It offers a generous features set that includes EV-DO support, V Cast Mobile TV Bluetooth, a top-notch Web browser, and an integrated GPS application.
The Voyager’s touchscreen isn’t as responsive as the iPhone’s, though it is a lot nicer than the TouchFLO experience on the HTC Touch (Sprint’s, at least). The biggest innovation is force-feedback: when your finger lands in the right place, you get a bit of a vibration. Immersion’s haptic technology is behind this, so it’s got momentum, but still a ways from being useful in a blind-typing situation
What we like best about this phone, and the LG Venus, for that matter, is the improvements LG has made to Verizon Wireless’ interface. Verizon Wireless believes, at least from what our reps told us, that users like to learn an interface and then find it useful on the next phone they buy. We don’t buy it. Phones are improving too fast, with too many new features every season, and users want a phone that makes sense. Maybe it made sense to bury the touted HTML browser under the “Get It Now
Dual screens are nice and the Voyager gets props for that. I love QWERTY keyboards and the Voyager has a nice big one that even those with ginormous fingers will be able to use without fear of mashing multiple keys. I don’t recommend trying Read more… »
