Samsung SGH-U900 Soul ReviewSamsung U900 Soul gets its name from Samsung calling the device the “Soul Of ULtra”, a fitting name for what the company says is the last handset in its original Ultra line of thin profile feature phones.

The feature that truly sets the U900 apart from previous slide phones from Samsung is the touch-sensitive navigation keypad. Samsung’s marketing blurb tell us that this is a “Magical touch interface”. They were clearly out to lunch on that day. The touchpad provides some haptic feedback and you can customize its touch sensitivity so you can be assured of a great user experience.

Samsung U900 Soul boasts Magic Touch which means the naSamsung SGH-U900 Soul Reviewvigation indicators on the keypad of the phone change according to the user’s needs. The best part is that - unlike its predecessor, Samsung G800 - the G810 is a Symbian smartphone, running on the S60 user interface. But wait, there’s still a lot left in the Soul! The slim slider also manages to cram in a ‘Magic Touch’ navigation panel that smartly changes with the application you’re using, an MP3 player, FM radio, EDGE, RSS feeds, email and microSD card slot!

The Samsung U900 Soul is an ultra slim slider 3G phone which is sleek in design. The U900 Soul comes packed with high quality features including a 5 megapixel camera, Bang & Olufsen enhanced music player, built in FM radio, large high colour screen & a easy to use magic touch navigation pad. The keyboard’s keys have a fair number of raised finger guide ridges surrounding them, and they offer the perfect amount of click when pressed.

Overall, Samsung U900 Soul is a solid, good looking handset with somewhat unusual, but interesting and easy to use navigation pad.

Features of the Samsung U900 Soul include:

* Touchscreen user interface
* 100 Mbytes plus MicroSD memory card slot
* 5 megapixel camera with face detection autofocus, image stabilizer and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR)
